PURPOSE:To improve operability at the time of the modification of a character string by making it possible to change the character string specified by a specifying means in accordance with the input of a specific key at the time of setting a modification condition with a modification condition setting means. CONSTITUTION:When a user changes the KANA(Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character)-mixed character string of an object to be modified, a character string changing processing part 7 is started by pushing-down a soft key. Then, KANA-KANJI conversion can be processed to change the character string into a desired KANA-KANJI character string. In this case, a space can be inserted and a character string including the space can be set to be the object of modification. When an execution key is operated, the character string changing processing part 7 is finished and a first modification condition setting part 8 is started. Thus, the processing returns into a former mode. Then, a character modification condition set before the above character string changing returns as it is. Consequently, when a specified character string is changed at the time of setting the modification condition, the mode is not necessary to be reset into the modification setting mode after changing the character like before. |
