<p>PURPOSE:To provide a baby powder composition low in scattering tendency, high in fluidity, good in the adherability to and spreadability on the skin, also preferable in skin touch. CONSTITUTION:The objective baby powder composition having the above- mentioned advantages is formulated by containing, as a main ingredient, pref. 80-90wt.% of spherical and/or disc-shaped fine talc particles having a mean diameter of 10-50mum. The fine particles can be obtained by sorting of talc having 1-70mum particle diameter prepared by grinding the original talc with a ball mill or pin mill, using e.g. an ultrafine powder sorter, Type 450, manufactured by Donaldson Japan Ltd., a kind of wind-power sorter, at the rotor revolution of 1000-5000rpm and wind velocity of 2.0-2.5m/min. This composition can be blended arbitrarily with other powdery base(s) such as emollients, coloring matter, antifungal agent, bactericide, or fragrance to formulate the objective composition after thorough dispersion and mixing thereof.</p> |
