PURPOSE:To provide a naphthalocyanine composition capable of enhancing the stability against the long-term irradiation with regenerating laser beam and environmental resistance in an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of trimethylsilyl substituted silicon naphthalocyanine having a bulky substituent on the center metal thereof and trymethylsilyl metal free naphthalocyanine is used as the recording layer of an optical recording medium.
