STABILIZATION ALKALINE EARTH SULFURET FLUORESCENT

The method for stabilizing alkaline earth sulfide fluorescent material is characterized by reacting alkaline earth sulfide fluorescent material with an aqueous solution of high fatty acid salt in pure water to form alkaline erth salt of high fatty acid on the surface of fluorescent material. Addition amounts of pure water and high fatty acid salt are 500 cc and 5 g with respect to 100 g fluorescent material, respectively. The stabilizing method can protect the surface of fluorescent material against H2O and CO2.
