PURPOSE:To reduce iron loss and to improve magnetic flux density by specifying respective contents of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Al, and N and also specifying the (Ge)eq. specified by the contents of Sb and Sn. CONSTITUTION:The nonoriented silicon steel sheet has a composition consisting of, by weight, <=0.005% C, 0.1-3.5% Si, 0.1-0.9% Mn, <=0.2% P, <=0.015% S, <=1.5% Al, <=0.005% N, 0.003-0.01% Ge, 0.01-0.1% (Ge)eq., and the balance Fe. The (Ge)eq. is defined as being equal to %Ge+(%Sb+%Sn)/2 [where %Ge means Ge content, %Sb means Sb content, and %Sn means Sn content]. The above steel sheet is reduced in iron loss and has high magnetic flux density. |
