<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject deinking agent providing reclaimed paper having high whiteness because of ink collecting properties, cohesiveness, releasability, etc., by reacting an adduct of a polyhydric alcohol with an alkylene oxide with an alkylsuccinic acid anhydride. CONSTITUTION:An adduct (polyoxyalkylene group is ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide) of (A) 1mol polyhydric alcohol with (B) >=10mol alkylene oxide an alkylene oxide is reacted with (C) a compound selected from compounds of formula I to formula III and a compound of the formula R6-COOH (R1, R2 and R5 are 5-30C alkyl or alkenyl; both R3 and R4 are H or one is 1-8C alkyl, etc., and the other is H; A1O is polyoxyalkylene prepared by polymerizing 2-4C oxyalkylene; R6 is 5-21C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.) to give a deinking agent for reclaiming old paper.</p> |
