Process for deionising an aqueous liquid containing complexable cations or anions in a low proportion, in which an excess of a macromolecular, respectively anionic or cationic ligand which is soluble in the said liquid is added to the liquid to be treated and an ultrafiltration is then carried out with flow substantially tangential to the ultrafiltration membrane and with overpressure in relation to the ultrafiltrate until the concentration of the ions to be removed from the liquid begins to increase appreciably in the ultrafiltrate and the process is then stopped, and application to the treatment of aqueous effluents. |
