Clamping collar, made up of a metal strip wound up on itself so that the ends of its two lengths (1a, 11b), inside and outside, partially overlap. The collar includes, on the one hand, a first boss (2) located in the vicinity of the end of the inner length and extending over just part of the width of the strip, on the other hand, a second boss (3) of complementary shape to that of the first one, located over the end of the outer length of the strip. In the immediate vicinity of the terminal edge (1e) of the end of the outer length (1b), the second boss (3) has a tab (3c) pointing towards the inside of this boss and forming a hook, whereas the upper face (2c) of the first boss is provided with an opening (2d) such as a transverse slit, of complementary shape to the said tab which it is intended to receive after the collar has been tightened. <IMAGE>
