The subject of the invention is a device for producing a modular partition made up of flat partition elements (1) placed one after another, the said elements each comprising a rectangular frame (2) equipped, on each vertical side (2a, 2b) with removable means (4) for fixing to a connection post (5). According to the invention, the removable fixing means are made up, for each partition element, of at least two shanks (4) with a widened head (41) extending in an overhanging fashion perpendicularly to the vertical side (2a, 2b), each connection post (5) is equipped with at least two orifices (53) for insertion of the widened head (41) of the shank (4), these orifices being extended by a slit (56) of width substantially equal to that of a shank (4) so that after introduction of the heads (41), each shank (4) can engage in the corresponding slit (56) by means of a relative displacement of the partition element (1) with respect to the post (5), the said shanks (4) then being shortened in order to apply and clamp the partition element (1) to the post (5). <IMAGE>
