DEHYDRATION AND DRYING OF AMINO ACID-PRODUCING MICROORGANISM CELL SUSPENSION

摘要

PURPOSE:To readily obtain dry cell bodies containing a high ratio of flakes with a high heat efficiency by using a rotary disc type evaporator and a closed drier in order and reducing the water content of an amino acid-producing microorganism cell suspension till the water content reaches a value within a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:An amino acid-producing microorganism cell suspension of 70-90wt.% water content is dried to 8-20wt.% water content by using a rotary disc type evaporator. The resultant concentrated suspension is then dried to 5-8wt.% water content by using a closed drier. Thus, dehydration and drying of the amino acid-producing microorganism cell suspension capable of producing the objective flake-shaped dry cell bodies is carried out.
