PURPOSE:To ensure that data is thermally recorded with high efficiency and a light source for photofixing is compact by thermally recording an image in both forward movement process and backward movement process of a head part, and at the same time, photofixing the image in both processes. CONSTITUTION:A head control part 60 controls the heat generation amount of each thermal element of a thermal head 20 in accordance with an image signal loaded from an image signal input part 61 such as a TV camera, a video regeneration device or a scanner. A lamp control part 62 causes the first light source 21 to emit a light for fixing a yellow color during the thermal recording process of an yellow image and the second light source 22 for fixing a magenta color during the thermal recording process of a magenta image. A controller 15 controls a head control part 60, a lamp control part 62, a cutter drive part 16 and drivers 63, 64 sequentially. The driver 63 controls a motor 14 for rotating paired feed rollers 11. The driver 59 controls a motor 26 for moving the head part 13 laterally. |
