<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a digital image forming device for forming images having excellent image quality by providing a period without light emission among each group of dots and providing a changing means for changing the number of dots constituting the groups. CONSTITUTION:A data corrected with gamma is converted into an analog voltage at a digital/analog converting circuit 33. The analog voltage is amplified with a set gain value at a gain switching circuit 34 and sent to a semiconductor laser drive circuit 36 through a drive I/O circuit 35. At the gain switching circuit 34, the gain can be converted by dividing an input voltage by switching a switch. The gain at the gain setting circuit 34 is set in such a manner that a gain switching signal generating circuit 206 switches switches SW1, SW2,... of the gain setting circuit 34 in response to gain switching signals to be outputted from a printer controller 201.</p> |
