PURPOSE:To obtain a photorecording medium having high sensitivity, deletion rate and C/N by providing a recording layer which is formed using tellurium of a single crystal as a main component of a recording material, blended with a non-reactive chemical compound on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The subject photorecording medium consists of a recording layer formed using a blend of a substantially continuous recording material of tellurium of a single crystal as a main crystalline component, and a substantially non-reactive chemical compound additive to said recording materials, laminated with a derivative layer, on a substrate. The recording materials of the recording layer is a chalchogen compound based on Te which takes at least, two states, crystal and non-crystal, with a crystal materials. In addition, the additive blended in the recording layer are, for example, ZnS, SiO2, etc. The dielectric layer should preferably be formed using an inorganic film such as ZnS or Al2O3. The technique to form the recording layer on the substrate is such as vacuum evaporation, ion plating or sputtering. |
