The invention relates to a modular formwork device making it possible to produce ornamental coatings during the construction or renovation of facades, walls and ceilings. The formwork panels (1) fixed to a metal framework (2) can be adjusted and immobilised with the aid of thrust cylinders (6) articulated to the metal framework (2) and to a fixed reference frame (5) connected with the surface to the coated (3a). The formwork surface (1a) of the said panels (1) acting as a mould for pouring (3b) is produced with the aid of elements made of lightweight materials in the form of plates (4a, 4b), mouldings or impressions of decorative elements. <IMAGE>
