<p>PURPOSE:To take out only hot water but also even cold water ( out of an apparatus, which is not different from a usual electric hot water apparatus, by insulating a heating/cooling unit instead of a heating device provided in a container body of an existing electric hot water apparatus and switching a change-over means to take out hot water or cold water. CONSTITUTION:Ordinarily, city water is fed into a container body 1 through a water feed pipe 2; heating operation is carried out in a heating/cooling unit 5 by manipulating a change-over switch 8; water is heated up to a desired temperature while the desired temperature is automatically adjusted by an automatic temperature adjustor 6a; and hot water is used for washing of a face, cooking or bathing. Then, in the case where cold water is taken out as, for example, drinking water or cold water for a cooling device in the summertime, cooling operation is carried out in the heating/cooling unit 5 by changing over the switch 8, and cold water is taken out through a take-out pipe 4 while a cooling temperature is adjusted by an automatic temperature adjustor 6b. The heating/cooling unit 5 is constructed in such a way that the container body 1 is divided into two compartments by using, for example, a plate-like heat exchanger, and a water feed pipe 2 is arranged to respective container bodies 1a, 1b for hot water and cold water.</p> |
