Novel negative electrode for alkaline generators and its method of manufacture

The invention relates to an electrode consisting of an active zinc-based paste. The said active zinc-based paste is characterised in that it contains a compound capable of ensuring electrochemical rechargeability of the zinc electrodes in the presence of a suitable electrolyte. Application: use of the said electrode as a negative electrode in rechargeable alkaline eletrochemical generators.
