The method enables the reserved VCR recording through a telephone even when outing from home. It comprises the four stages: the 1st stage for counting ring pulse by a bell counter (2); the 2nd stage for setting communication path to a station line when the counted number exceeds a certain value; the 3rd stage for counting peculiar pulses derived from "*" key; and the 4th stage for multiplying the number of "*" keypress counted until "#" key is pressed by a certain time and setting it as the recording duration for reservation.
