The circuit for preventing the error generation in a motion signal to prevent the deterioration of picture quality comprises a motion signal separator (10) for separating the motion signal from a digital video signal, a luminance signal processor (70) for controlling the rate of the high and low components of the luminance signal according to the separated motion signal, an error correcting encoder (20) for adding a parity word to the separated motion signal to perform an error correction encoding, a chrominance signal separator (30), and a luminance/chrominance signal mixer (80) for mixing the output of a standard chrominance signal recorder (50) with the output of the luminance signal processor (70) to transmit the mixed signal to a recording section (60).
