PURPOSE:To obtain a reversible thermal recording material which allows an image with high white turbidity to be formed, if pressure or thermal energy is low, further prevents a flaw from generating on the surface and also a head waste from sticking to the surface, if an image is repeatedly formed or deleted with the minimized deterioration of white turbidity, and which is provided with a non-contact part between a thermal recording member and a cushion layer. CONSTITUTION:The subject reversible thermal recording material consists of a thermal layer containing a resin material and an organic low molecular substance dispersed in the former as main components and allowing the reversible change to take place from a transparent state to a white turbidity state or vice/versa depending on temperature, on a support. In addition, this material has a cushion member having a cushion layer which contains dye or pigment on the support side. Especially the cushion layer is one which is obtained by thermally foaming a layer containing a foamable plastic filler. Further, a non- contact part containing an air inside is provided between the thermal recording member and the cushion layer. |
