PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically print printing page starting from the omitted printing page at reprinting due to the development of printing imperfections. CONSTITUTION:During printing, an optical sensor 5 reads the characters indicating the printing order on printing pages at the delivery side of printing result. On the basis of the output of the optical sensor 5, a character recognition section 6 performs the recognition of character pattern. In addition, a printer controlling section 4 recognizes omitted printing page, when printing imperfections develop and, after that, at reprinting, starts printing page. Further, at a sorter 7, the result of the character recognition at the character recognition section 6 is utilized so as to automatically judge to which bin of the sorter the outputted printing page is to be inserted in order to insert the reprinted printing paper in the required position. |
