PURPOSE:To provide a paper feed device that allows a printer body to be made compact and can feed paper to a printing section accurately. CONSTITUTION:A paper supply cassette 15 which contains many sheets of paper stacked is provided in a lower part of a laser printer, and a printing section is provided over the cassette. A paper guide 37 which forms a paper feed path 35 is arranged between the paper supply cassette 15 and the printing section. Resistration rollers 41 are arranged near the printing section of the paper guide 37. A curved portion 39 is formed in an approximately vertical portion of a left-side paper guide 37a in order to enlarge the width of the paper feed path. Paper sent out from the paper supply cassette encounters the resistration rollers 41, where inclination of the paper is corrected by partially bending the paper. The bent portion of paper is contained in the curved portion 39. |
