PURPOSE: To obtain the subject pulp having excellent physical properties and high polymerization degree by dissolving a Lewis acid type compd. in an amide type or an urea type org. solvent to prepare a polymerization solvent and reacting an arom. diamine and an arom. dichloride therein under the specified conditions. CONSTITUTION: (A) (ii) A Lewis acid type compd. is dissolved into (i) an amide type and/or an urea type of. solvent, to prepare a polymerization solvent. (B) (iii) An arom. diamine and then (iv) an arom. diacyl chloride are added to the solvent, and reacted until a non-isotropic liq. crystalline polymer soln. is obtained. Then, the polymer soln. is maintained at a predetermined temp. for a predetermined period, and thereafter the polymer soln. is impregnated in a mixed coagulating soln. of a (basic) aq. soln. and the polymerization solvent, to extract the polymerization solvent or pulverized by means of a pulping apparatus without removal of the polymerization solvent. Thereafter, arom. amide pulp in the form of (C) a (co)polymer of the formulae I or II [R1 , R2 and R3 are each (substd.) phenylene, biphenylene or the like.] is obtained by drying. |
