PURPOSE:To make dirt contained in ink hard to reach near a spouting nozzle to diminish ink spouting failure without an increase in the number of parts. CONSTITUTION:A first substrate 1 has electric energy-to-heat converters 2 on a face, and a hardening member 10 containing fibrous filler 18 and a second substrate 4 are laminated on it in turn. Individual liquid paths 15 corresponding to the electric energy-to-heat converters 2, spouting nozzles 16 that open toward the outside, a liquid chamber 11 in which ink is temporarily stored, and filter parts 13 leading from the liquid chamber 11 to the individual liquid paths 15 are formed on the hardening member 10. A large number of fibrous filler 18 protrude from the inside wall of the filter part 13 that is formed on the hardening member 10. When ink is supplied from the liquid chamber 11 to the individual liquid paths 15, dirt contained in ink is caught by the fibrous filler 18 and is made hard to reach near the spouting nozzles, so that ink spouting failure due to clogging of the spouting nozzles is diminished. |
