PURPOSE: To simplify structure and do not need a special structure by partially surrounding a tolerance ring made of polymeric materials with inner ring, pressing the tolerance ring axially against the inner ring in the direction of the ball with a spring, and preparing the spring with polymeric materials. CONSTITUTION: A bearing is constituted with an outer ring 1 having a spring, an inner ring 2, balls 3 and a tolerance ring 4 made of polymeric materials. The tolerance ring 4 is adjacent to inner side of the inner ring 2 and has an axial bore 5. The tolerance ring 4 is inserted in shaft 6 of a steering ring through the bore 5. A spring 7 is adjacent to end surface of the tolerance ring 4, and the spring 7 is made of the same polymeric materials as the tolerance ring 4 and is formed in one body with the tolerance ring 4. By this constitution, the structure of the unit is simple, and it does not need a special steel spring ring and an element for supporting it. |
