PURPOSE: To provide a rice cooking control method of a microwave oven by which optimal rice cooking is performed even if a rate of rice and water on a prescribed quantity is not slightly adapted. CONSTITUTION: A method has the following step. Weight of rice and water in a heating chamber is detected. Plural heating time intervals to absorb moisture of rice are calculated from the detected weight. During the respective heating time intervals, a moisture absorbing process of steeping rice by outputting a preset high frequency heating signal in the heating chamber, is performed in the respectively different sizes. The high frequency heating signal is outputted until a humidity quantity corresponding to a cooking condition change in the heating chamber reaches plural respective humidity limiting values, and a heating process is performed to decide time up to reaching the respective humidity limiting values as the respective heating time intervals. The plural heating time intervals to steam rice are calculated by using heating time of the moisture absorbing process and the heating process. A process of steaming rice by heating it by the preset high frequency heating signal, is performed in the respectively different sizes at respective heating time intervals for steaming. |
