In order to be able to automate the production of sausages, without using a synthetic skin, and to facilitate the introduction of sausage mixture into re-usable moulds, the invention calls for at least one of the end-closure devices (2) to be made of a flexible material with an opening (3) at the centre. The material itself is surrounded by a an elastic spring which not only keeps the opening (3) in the closed position but also allows a filling tool to pass through the opening (3). |
