PURPOSE:To generate X-rays of high output stably by turning the flow of cooling water in relation to the rotation of a counter cathode. CONSTITUTION:Electron generated by the electron gun 1 is accelerated by a voltage applied across the gun 1 and the anode 2 and then emitted through the anodic hole 4 bored in the anode 2 into the duct 5. And, the electron is irradiated against the target 9 provided to the counter cathode 8. The electron beam-accelerating portion 3, leading to only the duct 5 and the anodic hole 4, is evacuated by the oil diffusion pump 12 independently to keep it at a high vacuum all the time. The cooling water is turned with the rotary counter cathode. |
