Binding coil of wire after winding - uses loop formed from a strip of material with ends joined by folded joint

A large coil fo wire is held in its compact form by a previously formed loop of suitable material. The loop is made from a strip with the ends (2, 3) joined to each other by a folded joint. The loop is then folded around the coil (8) and tension is applied to the closed ends (4, 5) to bind the loop closely around the coil. The loop is then held in position by a U-shaped fitting which has one leg inserted in each of the end openings formed in the closed ends of the loop. USE/ADVANTAGE - For securing wound wire coil,with automatic clamping strip tightening by transverse tensile forces.
