The folding frame for the folding roof has identical linkages each side of the vehicle to move a front frame (3) to clip onto the top edge of the windscreen frame (W). The linkage is arranged so that the drive moves the front edge of the frame above the height of the windscreen frame, with the final phase of movement to bring the frame down onto the windscreen support. The user does not have to pull the roof fitting over the windscreen fixing points, the whole process is servo driven. The linkage has eccentric couplings to generate the downwards movement. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple to fit- and remove folding car roof, simple servo drive.
