The link loading monitor has a measuring element (101) recording a given load parameter coupled to an electronic evaluation stage (103) for comparison with an input load range. The evaluation stage (103) has an input device for entering the required range, an evaluation device (16), a display (15), a microprocessor (18) and a data memory (19) for holding the measured data and anlytical data derived from the latter. The microprocessor (18) calculates the ratio between the actual load and the required load range, to provide comparative data which can be recorded and statistical values extracted.
