In the area of the drive toothing of the programme drum with a wide gap are several teeth of a time extension ring. In the liberated position of the pinion the ratchet switches forward the time extension ring, and in the stop position of the pinion the ratchet either switches forward the time extension ring or the programme drum. In the stop position of the pinion the meter switch wheel is further switched through 360 deg., whereby an arrest stop remains in the arrested position and at each stop of the switch cams of the meter switch wheel on a lever arrangement, the time extension ring is switched through a further step, until it picks up the programme drum. USE/ADVANTAGE - Partic. for domestic washing, drying and rinsing machines, a programme switch mechanism with which the max. programme stage time extesnion is not restricted by a single revolution of the meter switch wheel.
