A device for regulating an auxiliary gas turbine (APU) (19) of an aircraft (12) that ensures energy supply when the power units are shut down has sensors at the auxiliary gas turbine (10) for sensing states of the auxiliary gas turbine (10). The auxiliary gas turbine (10) can be regulated by a power unit regulator (ECB) (14). The auxiliary gas turbine (10) is arranged at a distance from the power unit regulator (14), so that means for sensing, converting and transmitting the sensor data from the sensors at the auxiliary gas turbine (10) to the power unit regulator (14) are provided. Data processing means (20) are arranged in spatial proximity to the auxiliary gas turbine (10) in order to increase accuracy and to reduce weight. The sensor data are supplied to the data processing means (20), that include means (32) for digitalizing the sensor data and means (38) for appending identification keys to the digitalized sensor data. A data transmission section (22) allows the digitalized sensor data provided with identification keys to be serially transmitted from the data processing means (20) to the power unit regulator.
