A corrosion-resistant Cu alloy has the following compsn. (in wt.%); approx. 61.0-65.0 Cu, 1.0-3.5 Pb, 0.7-1.2 Sn, 0.2-0.7 Ni, 0.03-0.4 Fe, 0.02-0.1 Sb and 0.04-0.15 P, with balance being Zn and combined impurities. USE/ADVANTAGE - The alloy has a stable alpha-single-phase structure and excellent corrision resistance, mechanical properties and processability without the use of arsenic, finding use in valve and machine components, pump shafts, collars, and marine equipment.
