Injecting fuel into diesel engine combustion chamber - using tubular screen against which fuel is injected and provided with holes for aspiration of combustion chamber air
摘要
The jet of fuel coming from the injection nozzle (1) passes through a tubular screen (2) connecting directly to the nozzle outlet aperture, and which is provided with radial holes (3) for aspiration of combustion chamber air. At nominal load operation of the engine the air to fuel ratio is between 3 and 6. The length of the screen (2) is approximately 30 to 100 times the cross-section of the injection nozzle aperture. The radial apertures (3) along the tubular screen are located in an area which is at least 75% of the total length away from the screen free end at which the fuel jet enters the combustion chamber. USE/ADVANTAGE - To reduce the harmful content of the exhaust gases of a diesel engine.
