Different types of tiles discharged from two side by side extrusion machines (9) are deposited on parallel support rods (4) across special carriers (2) ready for conveying towards a furnace. The carriers are deposited by handling devices (7) onto trucks (1) advanced to the furnace. After firing, the carriers pass at right angles to the truck track to an adjacent unloading point. The carriers then return on a conveyor (6) parallel to the track to the original charging point at the extraction machines for reloading.
