The spectacle frame has divided rims of metal and pad holders at whose transition one end of the edge has a closing block and screw and the far end is tapped for the screw. The transition point is in the pad holder part where it has a reinforced foot for the tapped screw hole. The foot (7) of the pad holder (2) should enclose the frame edge at this end (6) right round to the glass groove and has on the front side a projecting stop which grasps the far end (4) of the edge. ADVANTAGE - Pad holder foot grasps right round to conceal block and screw without detracting from frame strength.
