PURPOSE:To provide the document proofreading method which enables a document to be proofread through easy operation and its device. CONSTITUTION:A proofread object expression detection part 2 detects an expression to be proofread and a correction history retrieval part 4 retrieves a correction history dictionary 3 by using the expression to be proofread as a retrieval key. When the retrieval is successful, a substitute candidate determination part 5 decides the retrieved character string as a substitute candidate. When the character string can not be retrieved, a substitute expression input part 10 allows an operator to input a character string for proofread object expression correction and the substrate candidate determination part 5 decides the character string as the substitute candidate. Then a document update part 6 rewrites the expression to be proofread into the substitute candidate and a correction history registration part 12 registers the expression to be proofread and the substitute candidate in the correction history dictionary 3 making them correspond with each other. |
