PURPOSE:To enable subsequent reset processing so that the stoppage of the operation of an initiator can be prevented even if the operation of a target is stopped by measuring definite time, and informing a CPU of time-out in the case that the operation of the target is stopped. CONSTITUTION:An SCSI control part 2 is connected to the target 3 through an SCSI bus, and executes the processing of each phase by an external command, and informs a CPU part 1 of an executed result as a status. The CPU part 1 sends the external command and receives the status from the SCSI control part 2 through a data bus, and judges the protocol of an SCSI. A data phase detecting part 4 is connected to the data bus, and outputs a start signal 8 when it detects a data phase, and outputs an end signal 9 when the data phase is finished. On the reception of the start signal, a timer part 5 starts measurement, and when it measures fixed time determined beforehand before the end signal is inputted, it informs the CPU part 1 of the time-out. |
