<p>PURPOSE:To provide a substantially miniaturized, long-life transformer improved in insulation, heat radiation, and bobbin strength by molding it with resin. CONSTITUTION:A bobbin 1, and coils 4, 5 and 6 wound on the bobbin of a transformer are molded with resin 31, together with wire-wrapped parts 9 and 10 of coil terminals. The bobbin and molding resin should have the same coefficient of thermal expansion. Since creepage distance does not have to be considered in this structure, the transformer can be designed much smaller than before. In addition, it is possible to improve insulation, heat radiation, and bobbin strength, and to prevent of the resin from the bobbin, with the result of longer service life.</p> |
