<p>PURPOSE:To make the number of signal line array in one picture element and the number of picture element plural so that short circuit does not appear as a defect because it appears as a line defect or a point defect in the case that the adjacent signal line arrays of picture elements are short-circuited or in the case that the picture element itself is short-circuited with the signal line array. CONSTITUTION:The conventional one picture element is divided to three, a picture element 1, a picture element 2 and a picture element 3, which are constituted of a signal line 4, a signal line 5 and a signal line 6 on which display signal is impressed, a TFT 7, a TFT 8 and a TFT 9 connected to the signal lines 4-6, and a gate line 10 connected to the gate electrode of the TFT element in common, respectively. In the case that one TFT element in one picture element is ruptured and the signal line is short-circuited with the picture element, such voltage that the picture element becomes black is always impressed on the signal line, and the display signal is impressed on another TFT element to make it act, so that the short-circuit does not apparent become the point defect.</p> |
