PURPOSE: To provide a cassette by which an image produced by radiography is formed on a large X-ray photosensitive film in a light shielding environment inside the cassette, and which can be carried by a hand, that is, a film holder. CONSTITUTION: This film cassette 10 is designed to hold perfect light shielding performance when a photosensitive film 21 is housed inside a light-shielding outer package 22 and the outer package 22 is removed. The cassette 10 includes a means 51 making a light-emitting performance reinforced screen 34 brought into close-contact with the film 21 in the middle of the exposure of radiography. The back surface of the film 21 is brought into close-contact with the film or a sheet 76 for a radioactive material, that is, a radioactive ray generating material including a specimen.
