A pesticidal blanket 10 for lining a building excavation to protect the building from infestation by termites and other pests, takes the form of a foraminous, fibrous membrane comprising an assembly of fibres or filaments 12, the assembly having an average void volume of less than 85% when measured under a pressure of 10kPa (1.45 psi).
