<p>PURPOSE:To automatically turn OFF the power of a computer operated by an operator when the operator is truly absent. CONSTITUTION:A distance measuring instrument 1 is provided on a computer. By an operator absence judging function 5, the distance up to a place where an object such as humans is present on the front surface of a display 2 and the change of the distance are judged, and thus, the absence of the operator is detected. Further, by a non-input judging function 7, the non-input of the constant time from an input device 3 is judged. By a turning-OFF deciding function 8, the judgement of two these judgment functions is established together, then, the power is turned OFF. Thus, the misoperation is less than a conventional method and the power can be automatically turned OFF.</p> |
