<p>PURPOSE: To provide a communication socket between a logical simulator and a system for generating input stimulus based upon the current state of the simulator. CONSTITUTION: A simulation model 200 is prepared for a switch level logical simulator 202. A communication socket is prepared for inputting stimulus to the simulator 202 and applying a stimulated output to a processing system. The system suitably includes an adaptive vector generator(AVG) 206 for processing a procedure vector 204 for providing input stimulus. The AVG 206 automatically calculates a succeeding stimulus pattern for the model 200 based upon status data received from the simulator 202 and provides the pattern to the simulator 202 through the communication socket. Thus the simulator 202 can completely model the circuit by the use of a bidirectional switch for connecting a node.</p> |
