PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a memory in a data carrier to be used for a discrimination system and to extend a communication distance. CONSTITUTION:The data carrier having a transmitting/receiving part 1, an ASK detecting circuit 8 and a reverberation control circuit 17 is provided with a high voltage impressing part 21 and a low voltage impressing part 25 for respectively impressing writing and reading voltages necessary for a memory cell 32 in a memory part 29. When the data carrier approaches a reading/writing head, a low voltage is impressed to respective parts. At the time of writing data, data are written in the memory cell 32 by using a high voltage impressed from the high voltage impressing part 21. |
