PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain sufficient recording density and good image quality, by providing a colorant layer containing a specific sublimable dye and a binder. CONSTITUTION:The titled transfer body is provided with a colorant layer 3 containing at least one dye selected from sublimable dyes 4 represented by formulae I, II, III and at least one binder 6 selected from polysulfone, polyether sulfone, polycarbonate, polyphenylene oxide, polyacrylate and cellulose acetate. The heat of a thermal head 1 is conducted to the colorant layer 3 through a film substrate 2 and the sublimable dye 4 is sublimed to be transferred to an image receiving body 5. Because said binder has good adhesiveness to the film substrate 2 and is also excellent in heat resistance, it is not released from the substrate by heat at the time of recording. Further, sufficient recording density is obtained because of the close adhesiveness and dispersibility thereof. In addition, because of the good compatibility thereof with the dyes represented by formulae I, II, III, good image quality by the uniform sublimation of the dyes is obtained. |
