PURPOSE: To provide a composition contg. at least one radiation-sensitive com pound and a polymer binder that is insoluble in water but soluble in an aqueous alkali solution and at least able to swell and also, to provide a recording mate rial produced with the composition. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains a dihydroxybenzophenone completely esterified with (1,2-naphthoquinone 2-diazide)-4-and/or-5-sulfonic acid, or a trihydroxybenzophenone partially or completely esterified with (1,2- naphthoquinone 2-diazide)-4and/or-5-sulfonic acid, wherein the weight ratio of esterified 2,3,4,4'-tetrahydroxybenzophenone to the esterified dihydroxybenzophenone or esterified trihydroxybenzophenone is 4:6 to 7:3 and the total amount of esterified hydroxybenzophenones is equivalent to a 5 to 40wt.% ratio to the total weight of solid matter in the composition. |
