AIR BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To retain a satisfactory discharge characteristic for a long period by interposing a specified air diffusive porous sheet between a porous film for supporting a gas diffusive electrode and an air intake port. CONSTITUTION:An air diffusive porous sheet 3 impregnated with film formative silicon is inserted between a porous film 2 for supporting a gas diffusive electrode 1 and an air intake port 4. In an air cell provided with the electrode 1 for which oxygen is an active material and a cell container having the hole 4 communicated with outside, air ventilation to the electrode 1 can be secured by thus interposing the sheet 3 impregnated with the film formative silicon between the porous film 2 for supporting the electrode 1 and the hole 4. Since infiltration of steam in the atmosphere into the cell as well as a concentration change in an electrolyte due to evaporation of the electrolyte is eliminated so that an excellent discharge characteristic can be retained even in the case of storage in an opened state.
