<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a proper toner charge level and stability and to prevent splashing by using a toner containing a polyolefin resin coated carrier and calixarene compd. as a charge controlling agent. CONSTITUTION:The developer consists of a toner containing compd. as a charge controlling agent, and a carrier coated with polyolefin resin. Namely, this developer is a two-component developer comprising the toner and the carrier. The toner consists of calixarene compd. as at least a charge controlling agent. In this case, by using calixarene compd. as the negative charge controlling agent, proper charge level is obtd., stable electrification is maintained, and splashing of the toner, etc., is prevented even when the toner is used with carrier coated with polyolefin resin. Thereby, with combination of the polyolefin-coated resin carrier, such a developer can be obtd. that consists of the toner containing the charge controlling agent which can give proper, uniform, and stable negative charge level.</p> |
