PURPOSE:To prevent the irregular reflection of laser light and to always obtain a normal image by regulating the maximum scanning width of a rotary mirror, with respect mainly to an image forming device such as a laser printer. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device constituted so that the scanning of light modulated with a picture signal is executed by the rotary mirror 11, and a photosensitive drum 16 is irradiated with the light for the scanning, to form an electrostatic latent image, light shielding members 19a and 19b for regulating the maximum scanning width of the rotary mirror 11 are provided. |
